Swoon: To Accompany Something Invisible

We hope you will join us this Thursday April 27th for the opening reception of Swoon's exhibition To Accompany Something Invisible at Allouche Gallery. This show marks the first time that the more personal, process elements of Swoon’s work, such as prep sketches, process drawings, proofs, and preliminary paper cutouts, will be displayed publicly. On view as well will be her newest body of work, including large scale installation boxes and works on intricately crafted handmade paper. In addition we will doing live, large scale relief printing for the duration of the reception.

To Accompany Something Invisible is Swoon’s most intimate exhibition yet. The title of the show is in homage to a quote from her favorite art writer, the late John Berger. This rare gallery show represents a transitional and reflective moment for Swoon as she prepares for a retrospective opening at the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati in September.

An opening reception will take place in the gallery on April 27, from 6pm-9pm.
