Retro-Futurism with Felipe Pantone

Since seeing Argentinian-Spanish artist Felipe Pantone painting in Miami 3 years ago, I've followed his progress avidly. From Wynwood to Detroit to New York City, his work has an electric, retro-futuristic energy that draws you in.

Here at SOLD, we're thrilled to see him back for his first solo show here at GR Gallery, and witness him leave his mark on the streets.

It's worth stopping by this dyamic mural for The L.I.S.A Project NYC on the corner of Elizabeth & Broome Streets, created with support from Montana Cans USA.

Founded in 2012, The LISA project is a non-profit organization bringing together a diverse group of street artists in the historic Mulberry Street in the Little Italy neighborhood of New York City to create Manhattan's first mural district. The initiative, under the creative direction of Wayne P. Rada, has grown into a public arts program reaching into SoHo, Lower East Side, East Village, Chinatown and Chelsea.

Come see “PLANNED IRIDESCENCE”, featuring 20 Felipe Pantone pieces including paintings, projections, interactive installations and murals; focused on the interaction between the displacement of the light spectrum and shape-color dynamism.

It's fascinating to see Felipe's energy, usually in fluorescent colors, transformed into light and movement.

Open daily 12:00pm – 7:00pm until November 25.

We also checked out the artist creating this kinetic mural for ST.ART at 102 Ludlow Street above Delancey Street.

The purpose of the rotating ST.ART outdoor gallery, curated by Kamilla Sun, is to showcase the artwork of the most remarkable international street artists and bring an uplifting spirit to the neighborhood.

ST.ART is a creative agency that works with contemporary urban artists from around the world for outdoor & interior decor, live events and promotional campaigns..
