Father's Day ButterflyMush Brunch

On Father's Day, June 17th, 2018 the first 25 dads to dine at David Burke's new NoMad hot spot Woodpecker, will receive a limited-edition custom paint can signed by both Andrea Acevedo AKA ButterflyMush and Burke, and emblazoned with an original painting of one of her bad-ass babes, dressed only in food!

Andrea Acevedo presents her stunning collection of bad bitches in all their blunt, outspoken, full-frontal glory. Nudes often feel superfluous in today's world where women's sexuality has become mainstream.

However, Butterflymush transforms the idea of nudity by painting the power, sincerity, and bad-assery that make the beautiful women in her art who they are, and not how people want to see them - not that they would care what you thought anyway. Make sure to listen to Sold Magazine's Episode 8 of "In The Spray Room" with Mush herself!

This celebration of women who drink, sleep with who they want when they want, who are mothers, and who just like looking good is a celebration of women's reclamation over their bodies and minds. We celebrate them even on Father's Day! Your weekend binge will feel validated looking at the many familiar contexts Butterflymush has created and your fire will be rekindled when you see the faces of her badass women because it is like looking into a mirror of your best self.

Each paint can is an exclusive 1of1 original and features borderline naughty food-themed language, like: Leggs Benedict, Nice Buns, Best Dad Bod, etc.

Andrea's work includes a portfolio of brazen, fearless, NSFW women, which is why it's so interesting that Burke chose to commission her for such a family-friendly weekend. In fact, it speaks to the multidimensional human reality, and challenges society's diluted version of female sexuality that limits women to choosing between being a parent and a sexual being.

The brunch will be from 11:00AM-3PM. The featured special will be the clam bake brunch, which includes lobster, clams, mussels, shrimp, chicken, sausage, potatoes, corn and grilled flatbread, served in a paint can. Additional à la cart mains are also available such as smoked salmon couch potatoes and lobster calzone. Reservations are highly recommended!
