3RD ETHOS Gallery is proud to announce Dead Bloom - a Multimedia presentation of watercolor paintings, short film, and a new book release by NYC’s underground favorite artist K-NOR.
DEAD BLOOM is a meditation on the nature of human wickedness and its enduring effects. From acts of cruelty against the earth to the fear and violence we inflict upon each other, our penchant for malevolence seems to grow and spread out like a root, slowly burrowing deeper into the human psyche.
Told through a series of darkly surreal illustrations rendered in pen and watercolor on paper, DEAD BLOOM weaves a decadent fantasy of our own annihilation and presents an ominous vision of what we may leave behind to haunt the earth.
K-NOR is an artist/designer based in Brooklyn, NY. His work confronts dark themes with an energy of youthful defiance and a twisted sense of humor. Drawing inspiration from comic book art, graffiti, skate culture, and surrealism, he seeks to explore the bleaker side of humanity through a deranged technicolor lens.
