Real Estate, Food & Art: A Multisensory Experience

In the age of trippy AR, social media madness and DM's that are way too personal to share, last week, I had a lovely three hour dinner surrounded by creatives. Curator of ST.ART, Kamilla Sun, turned a multi-million dollar model unit in Williamsburg into a visual bliss. The award winning architectural firm, Morris Adjmi Architects and Resident, were right by her side providing a one-of-a-kind, multisensory experience.

I was invited to attend a ten course meal organized by Resident that host communal dining experiences with up-and-coming chefs in a private setting. This particular one was located at One Thirty Eight North Tenth with the amazing chef Matt Cruz . Art by Icy and Sot, JPO, Lee Tal, James Gortner, C. Finley, Iena Cruz, Lefty Out There and Warren Holder filled the rooms. I want to move in, but when? Just kidding, as I certainly cannot afford the unit, but I loved breaking bread within it. The way the art was displayed in each and every newly renovated room was so well done and easy to navigate through. My eyes moved along each room without hesitation as I felt as if it all worked beautifully well. People who know me closely know that I get thrown when art does not work synergistically. I thought about buying a few pieces to add to my collection; that's how well the pieces looked within the apartment setting.

Most open houses offer a beverage and you are in and out within fifteen minutes, Kamilla is offering something completely different. You sit, you learn about the art, the chef, the developers, and you learn about each other and it all takes place within an intimate setting. Hats off to you Kamilla, because I cannot wait to see what you do next. Do invite me again (wink, wink.)
