DALeast 'Rippling Stone' Opening Reception [VIDEO]

DALeast's exhibition, "Rippling Stone" debuts TONIGHT at Hashimoto Contemporary in New York City (210 Rivington Street), with an opening night reception from 6pm-8pm. The artist will be in attendance. In celebration, enjoy the Chop 'em Down capture of the artist creating his latest masterpiece in Lyon, France for Paint (RED).

Hailing from Wuhan, in eastern China, DALeast is an artist who attempts to depict the tense relationship between the natural and artificial, the organic and synthetic, forming a bifurcated aesthetic which brings these seemingly irreconcilable binaries into a quite beautiful coalescence. Relocating to Beijing in '08 and resided in Cape Town, South Africa in between '10 to '15; DALeast’s trademark style, his metallic, monochromatic, sculptural aesthetic can thus now be seen all over the world, all the whilst retaining a strong influence of the Eastern philosophy he holds so close.
